New Found Love

For the past month or so... I have been slowly working on Christmas cards. This is my first year to make all my cards. It was about a year ago that I discovered the world of card making. My good friend Alyssa is into scrap-booking and we decided to join a Stampin' Up club together. It is always a highlight of my month. I just love learning new techniques and sitting around a table doing nothing but chatting and crafting. It's "girl-time" at it's best!! I definitely haven't mastered the card making skill but I have come a long way since I first started. Card making can be so addicting! Who knew cutting and pasting paper would be so much fun!

The following are just a few of the cards that I have made... and as I said before, I am still learning!

Got Eyeballs?!

These are the eyeball/cake-balls that I made for the Taylor's Halloween Party! I thought they turned out pretty good considering I had never made them to be "eyeballs" before. I used a red velvet cake mix and cream cheese frosting for the inside. The outside is coated in vanilla almond bark. I used gummy lifesavers for the iris and an upside down chocolate chip for the pupil! The red veins are just glittery red icing! Easy peasy!

Just getting started and testing some things out here. This is the inside of a magazine bowl that I made a little while ago. :)

My first attempts at "blogging"

In attempts to get away from facebook, I have decided to see how I am at taking on a blog. I see others and they look like fun... We shall see!
